Nummer 10 ist, wie Sie sehen, eine kleine Figur geworden. Ich sah letztes Jahr eine zierliche Frau auf einer Treppe stehend sich die Augen reibend, skizzierte die Idee und dachte dabei an dieses Motiv. Die Unschuld des Unwissenden?

Number 10 has become a small figure, as you see. Last year i saw an elegant woman standing on a stair rubbing her eyes, sketched the idea and thought of this motive. The innocence of the unknowing?

Got away from it all

Gestern verbrachte ich einen herrlichen Tag am Strand. Zwischen all den lauten Kinder, den Wakeboadern und dem Gebrummel der (zu) vielen Menschen ließen sich diese beiden nicht stören. Ein wahrlich beruhigender Anblick.

Yesterday I spent a marvellous day on the beach. Between all loud children, the wake-boarder and around the born bustle of (too) many people these both cannot be disturbed. A really reassuring sight.

Eine Herausforderung, die Helligkeit der Sonne und deren Überstrahlung, die harten Kontrast in Graustufen darzustellen.
Davon kommt sicherlich noch mehr.

A real challenge, to paint the brightness of the sun, the hard contrast in grey-scales. There will be some more of this.

Lost in the city

Der Sommer nähert sich mit großen Schritten. Dieser Suchenden ist es sogar schon warm genug, sich vor dem sprudelnden Brunnen von Waldemar Otto der Schuhe zu entledigen.

Summer comes closer in big steps. For this seeking woman it even seems to be warm enough to get rid of her shoes in front of the fountain of Waldemar Otto.

Sketching Time...

Entwürfe, Skribbel und Vorzeichnung füllten den Tag, nur fertig ist es noch nicht. Die Roh-Version in Farbe (Aquarell) ist in etwa das Endprodukt. Auf der Vorzeichnung (Feder/Tusche) sind Mund und Hand optimiert, steht die geballte Faust im Widerspruch zum zarten Grün.

Layout, sketching and drawing filled my day, but it´s not ready yet. The coloured rough (watercolour) is going to be almost the latest version. On the pre-drawing (feather/ink) are mouth and hand optimised, the clenched fist is holding the dainty flower.

Bad news

Die Sonne scheint, die Bekleidung wird leichter, und dann das (was auch immer)...
Graustufen halte ich für diese ambivalente Stimmung, Frühling und unangenehme Nachricht, für angebracht. Sie neutralisieren die Umgebung.

Hier ist es nun, mein erstes Blog-Bild. Der Frühling naht mit großen Schritten, kommt hoffentlich nicht ins Stolpern und ich werde dieses Thema für die nächsten Bilder fortsetzen. Das frische Grün der Bäume und die durch Gegenlicht entstehenden Unschärfen faszinieren mich immer wieder.
